Carl is an industry guru and assists companies by transforming them into health and safety leaders. He holds graduate degrees in both mechanical and industrial engineering. Carl has a distinguished career as an Engineer, a Line Manager, an Executive and is the Managing Director of ZEAL. His career growth reflects his ability to translate strategic goals across all levels of an organisation.

Since the inception of ZEAL, Carl has framed and articulated the vision for health and safety as a means of driving business performance change. He has worked successfully at Board level in client organisations positioning health and safety as a strategic imperative. Carl’s skill set and passion for promoting safety as a cultural driver, has led ZEAL to excel across major industry sectors in Australia.

Prior to founding ZEAL, Carl was key Executive in Rio Tinto’s Rössing Uranium Mine and as a result of his work there, the mine earned the title of the safest mining operation in the world. The mine won numerous other awards including the prestigious British Safety Council Sword of Honour for five consecutive years. As a Vice President in CRA, he established and led the corporate Health and Safety Department, which assisted the Group to achieve significant advances in health and safety performance.
