ZEALcare™ was created to provide a broader view of safety management. It provides an effective way of focusing on health and safety efforts in a way that will achieve greater impact.

How does it work?
ZEALcare™ moves beyond traditional approaches and draws together the models and research findings of the best in health and safety science. ZEALcare™ incorporates these into a workable management strategy.

There are three parts to the ZEALcare™ system;

• the framework of LAD™ (Leadership, Analysis and Discipline).
• the elements that outline the effort required across this framework.
• an audit tool to measure and improve compliance.

Standards
The framework of LAD™ (Leadership, Analysis and Discipline) is defined in a set of Standards. Standards need to be set so that people across all levels of the organisation can adopt a common and consistent approach to health, safety and care. Standards also set the way forward in how best to achieve targeted goals for the future. The Standards also form the basis for measurement and improvement cycles.

Procedures
ZEALcare™ includes health and safety procedures for integrating into regular working practices throughout the organisation. The procedures need close monitoring by Management, in order to ensure their teams follow the guidelines and continue to keep safety a key focus within their role.

Audits
ZEALcare™ includes a framework for auditing the performance of the safety management systems. The audit protocols in ZEALcare™ are written in a way that focuses on the effectiveness of the systems in delivering outcomes. The audit tool comprises a comprehensive set of protocols and a scoring system to enable measurement of compliance improvements.
