Performance Risk AnalysisRisk reviews are undertaken by organisations for a variety of reasons. Their outcomes often linked to management action and in some cases management performance. The reviews are conducted in a diligent manner and the resultant register of risks, often established against either operational or strategic criteria are then ranked in terms of impact or severity; mitigating actions identified and varying levels of “Control” then put in place.Having completed the exercise, how does an organisation then determine if the Risk Controls are working? What happens if the Risk Drivers are altered or changed? How does the organisation measure the component elements associated with a risk to derive incremental value? How does the organisation derive commercial and / or intellectual value from their approach to managing risk?
