Supply Chain Risk Management

The existence of business supply chains are quite often taken for granted. They simply exist or do they?

Supply chains include all internal and external processes and linkages that allow an organisation to function in an integrated and cohesively efficient manner. They are subject to, and affected by such things as, the vagaries of global Supply and Demand; economies of scale; large and small scale demographics; financial, economic and political pressures; changing dynamics associated with channel marketing; distribution; transportation and logistics; information and communication management; competitive pressures; criminal acts and natural hazards.

Quite simply supply chains can fail or be disrupted through no fault of your own. So what would happen to your business if a critical element of your supply chain program is adversely impacted or quite simply disappears? Where are the critical risks associated with your supply chain dynamics? Are such risks captured within your insurance or other risk management programs? What options are available to your organisation should there be a need to Respond, Manage and then Recover a critical aspect of your Supply Chain program?

It is therefore imperative that supply chain risk is properly managed in any organisation, otherwise like any business process or information conduit, operational failure and inefficiencies can arise.

The ZEAL Group can help your organisation identify, manage and reduce exposures associated with Supply Chain risk. We work closely with you to:

  • document your end-to-end supply chain process
  • identify possible areas of redundancy; bottlenecks and critical points of failure
  • identify, analyse and assess risks associated with supply chain management
  • create an inherent and measurable ability to Respond, and Recover
  • link any risk exposures to insurance or other risk mitigation programs
  • conduct “best practice” investigations and create transformation programs to enhance or streamline existing supply chain dynamics.

To arrange an introductory meeting please contact bill.pollock@zeal.com.au or any other member of the ZEAL Group.
